Walk V - Kenilworth town

WALK  DESCRIPTION

Starting point:

Abbey End shopping area in Kenilworth town centre.

The walk and places of interest:

The walk starts at the Abbey End shopping area near the Clock Tower, continuing on through Abbey Fields, passing the Abbey Barn before going around the lake and out to Kenilworth Castle.

After circling the wall of the castle Castle Green is reached . After passing the Queen & Castle and Clarendon Arms pubs several listed buildings and an Animal Pound are passed walking along the High Street after which Parliament Piece is reached after passing several pubs, The Old Bakery, the Virgins & Castle, The Cross and The Royal Oak.

 It concludes with a stroll in Kenilworth Common then, on exiting the common, more pubs close by, The Engine, The Cottage Inn and The Wyandotte Inn. After walking beside the stream and then through Abbey Fields to Abbey End the final pub, The Almanack in Abbey End is reached.
