WALK DESCRIPTION
The Red Lion public house in Hunningham.
A level walk round three quiet mid-Warwickshire villages in the meandering valley of the river Leam. There are three interesting churches, and the remains of an impressive Iron Age camp.
The walk starts from The Red Lion pub at Hunningham. After walking through the village and across fields Wappenbury is reached. This village has two churches, Saint Anne's and Saint John's. After more fields and a walk beside the river Leam is a walk through the village of Eathorpe.
On the outskirts of the village is Eathorpe Marsh nature reserve. After walking alongside the river Leam the path changes to a track. As Hunningham is reched Hunningham Farm Meadow nature reserve is passed and then Saint Margarets church. After anther encounter with the river Leam, The Red Lion pub is reached.
PARKING
Permission has been given by the owner or manager for walkers to leave their vehicles in the car park on the understanding that they will patronise the establishment either before or after the walk.
