Walk H - Bubbenhall & Wappenbury


Starting points:

Either  the Three Horseshoes Inn or The Malt Shovel public house in Bubbenhall.

The walk and Places of interest:

A farmland and woodland walk with the area boasting several nearby areas of accessible countryside. Wildlife Trust woodland & meadow, a Butterfly Meadow and Ryton Pools Country Park.

Starting at the Three Horseshoes Inn or The Malt Shovel pub in Bubbenhall village the walk passes near Ryton Pools Country Park, Ryton Wood, Ryton Wood Butterfly Meadows and Bubbenhall Meadow before passing through Burnt Hurst Coppice and by Wappenbury Wood.

Half way round the route passes close to the churches of Saint Anne's and Saint John the Baptist in the village of Wappenbury.

The return route skirts Wappenbury Wood and Bubbenhall Wood on the way back to the pubs in Bubbenhall village.


Park in the Three Horseshoes Inn or The Malt Shovel car park.

Permission has been given by the owner or manager for walkers to leave their vehicles in the car park on the understanding that they will patronise the establishment either before or after the walk.


There  are no diversions on this walk.
